A mini-thought from meditation today.
I often hear (or say) phrases that start with "The truth is..." followed by some sort of statement.
"The truth is, he doesn't really get it"
"The truth is, we don't really need that"
And so on.
But the first three words can be a profound reflection as well. Anytime doubt or excess thinking arises in the mind say to yourself
"The truth is..."
And stop there. Whatever is happening is indeed the truth.
It's a powerful reminder that the truth is what is here now, nothing more than that.
